The Cafe is located at the heart of the Institute under the awesome Agha Hasan Abedi Auditorium. It is the center of activities throughout the day, with students eating, socializing and even studying together in this cozy place during their free time.

The Institute encourages female students to join engineering profession. Because of revolutionary developments in the technological field, it is no more considered as an exclusively male domain, and offers a host of highly rewarding careers, which suit the special endowments of women. The Institute has taken measures to provide a very supportive milieu for the female students. It has a 120-seat girls hostel with all modern amenities, a ladies gym and a lady counselor to facilitate their stay on the campus.

A stately three-storey building, set against the background of brooding and austere hills of Tarbela, houses the Central Library of the Institute. Its interior design, decor, and furniture create an atmosphere of an intellectual sanctuary wherein the students and faculty can concentrate on their studies. It operates in two shifts and remains open till late in night. To share resources through inter-library loans and exchange of data-base information, it is electronically linked with all prominent institutions of science and technology in the country.
